The Consejo General de Colegios Oficiales de Médicos is the body that brings together and represents the 52 medical associations throughout the country, both at the national and European level, in matters affecting the professional practice and its ethical and deontological aspects.

In 2020, as every year, they were preparing to hold their General Assembly, now more important than ever due to the level of responsibility that CGCOM had due to the growth of the pandemic. Due to these new circumstances they were forced to look for an alternative to conventional assemblies that was safer and even more efficient, so they chose to do it telematically.
